    • Funny that you would say this, I had actually written under the image “…but I am optimistic!” and then left it out. Therein lies the problem of posting ones notebooks; things revealed that otherwise might never be seen. My original thought was not quite so pessimistic. What I might have drawn from was “building walls where there could have bridges”… I liked that idea. Thanks for your thoughts Shimon – I will work on the love poem.

  1. A love poem would be wonderful (referencing Shimon), but the truth is we have built walls where there could have been bridges – in our macro and micro worlds. This has value just the way it is.

    Chris, your poetry is delightfully spare and honest … and some do remind me of the Canadian landscape, though I haven’t been there in a long time.
